Hidden Fees to Watch For
Not all charter companies quote all-inclusive prices. When comparing quotes, ask specifically about:
- Fuel surcharge — some companies quote a base rate then add fuel based on actual usage, which can add $200–$500+
- Captain fee — some list the captain as a separate $150–$300+ line item
- Docking/marina fee — $50–$200 at some departure locations
- Cleaning fee — $100–$200 for post-charter cleaning
- Tax/service charge — some add a 6–10% service fee on top of the quote
These add-ons can increase the final cost by 20–40% beyond the advertised rate. At Yachtfully, the quoted price is the full price — no fuel surcharges, no captain fee, no docking fee, no cleaning fee, no service charge.
Budget Recommendations by Occasion

| Friends' day out (6–8) | Axopar 37 | 4 hours | $1,350 |
| Birthday party (10–13) | 55' Azimut | 4 hours | $1,950 |
| Bachelorette (8–13) | 66' Azimut | 4 hours | $2,900 |
| Corporate event (13) | 70' Azimut Flybridge | 6 hours | $5,200 |

| Ultimate party (13) | 70' Azimut | 8 hours | $4,200 |
For groups larger than 13, we coordinate multi-vessel charters. For example, a 26-person bachelorette party could charter two 66' Azimuts cruising together ($5,800 for 4 hours).
Cost Factors That Affect Pricing
1. Vessel Size
The biggest factor. A 26-foot sport boat starts at $479 while a 70-foot luxury yacht starts at $3,000. Larger vessels require more crew, more fuel, and more maintenance — but the per-person cost actually decreases for groups since the charter price is flat regardless of headcount (up to max capacity).
2. Duration
Longer charters cost more in total but less per hour. On the Axopar 37, a 2-hour charter is $700 ($350/hr) while a 6-hour charter is $1,750 ($292/hr) — a 17% lower hourly rate.
3. Season
Our published rates apply year-round. However, peak season (December through April) sees the highest demand — book early to secure your preferred date and vessel. Off-peak months offer easier availability.
4. Add-Ons
Catering, DJ, water toys, decorations, and other add-ons are additional costs that vary based on your requests. A simple charter with BYOB food has no add-on costs. A fully catered event with a DJ and decorations could add $1,000–$5,000+ depending on scope.
5. Day of Week
Our rates are the same for weekdays and weekends. Weekdays offer better availability, especially during peak season.
Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the cheapest way to rent a yacht in Miami?
The most affordable private yacht rental in Miami starts at $479 for a 2-hour charter on a 26-foot Crownline sport boat (up to 8 guests). This includes the captain, fuel, and crew — no hidden costs. For groups of 6–8, this works out to $56–$75 per person, comparable to group boat tour pricing but with a private vessel and custom itinerary.
How much does it cost to rent a yacht for a party in Miami?
A yacht party in Miami typically costs $1,950–$7,350 depending on vessel size, group size, and duration. A 55' Azimut motor yacht starts at $1,950 for 4 hours (up to 13 guests). A 70' Azimut Flybridge with flybridge deck runs $4,050–$6,350. For a large yacht party on the 110' Antago (with full crew of 5, gratuity included), expect $5,640–$9,660. Add-ons like catering, DJ, and decorations are additional.
Does the price include fuel and captain?
At Yachtfully, yes — every charter includes the captain, fuel, and standard crew in the quoted price. This is our all-inclusive model. Be aware that many other Miami charter companies charge fuel, captain, and docking as separate line items that can add 20–40% to the base quote.
Is there a deposit required?
Yes. A deposit is required to secure your booking. The balance is due before departure. Our cancellation policy provides a full refund (minus processing fees) for cancellations 30+ days in advance, a 50% refund for 14–29 days, and no refund for less than 14 days.
Are there hidden fees I should know about?
At Yachtfully, there are no hidden fees — the quoted price includes captain, fuel, and crew. The only additional costs are: (1) gratuity for the crew, which is customary at 15–20% and not included in the rate (exception: 110' Antago includes 15% gratuity; 97' San Lorenzo "Astonish" pre-collects 18%); and (2) any optional add-ons you request (catering, DJ, water toys, decorations). With other companies, ask specifically about fuel surcharges, docking fees, captain fees, and cleaning fees.
How much should I tip on a yacht charter?
Gratuity of 15–20% of the charter price is customary in the Miami charter industry. It is given directly to the captain and crew at the end of your trip. The exceptions in our fleet are the 110' Antago (15% gratuity included) and the 97' San Lorenzo "Astonish" (18% gratuity pre-collected).
Can I rent a yacht for just 2 hours in Miami?
Yes. Our 26' Crownline sport boat ($479) and 2025 Axopar 37 ($700) both offer 2-hour minimums. Most larger yachts (50'+) have a 4-hour minimum. A 2-hour charter is enough for a sunset cruise, a quick spin around Star Island, or a scenic photo session on the water.
Is it cheaper to rent a yacht on weekdays?
Our published rates are the same for weekdays and weekends. However, weekdays offer significantly better availability — especially during peak season (December through April). Weekend dates during peak season should be booked 2–4 weeks in advance. Contact us for availability on your preferred date.
